This video filmed by Larry Wunsch of Brownsville, Wisconsin who lives inside of Forward Energy wind farm there. He was out plowing his driveway when he saw a piece of ice the size of a bedsheet come from the turbine. He got his video camera and filmed the turbine. Theres no flying ice in this video, but the turbine blades clearly have ice and snow on the blades- except for the one where the big chunk fell off. Residents inside this industrial wind farm in Fond du Lac County were told ice throw from turbine blades isn’t a problem. They were told if ice forms on the blades, the turbine automatically shuts down. People who are spending their first winter in the wind farm tell another story.

Jess Jessen is the manager of the Galmsbüll wind farm in northern Germany – and its principal shareholder.He has always seen the potential profits to be made in the sector and shrugged off the skeptics back in the 1980s. Wind currently meets 7% of Germany’s energy requirements, and that figure is set to double over the next few years. Local residents, however, complain that the enormous rotors are an eyesore.

Part of a growing trend, a Danish family of seven has installed its own wind turbine to produce all the electricity the family needs while reducing its carbon footprint.

This popular and picturesque part of Earl`s Burn is now between two wind farms. The Italian owned 15 turbine Earlsburn Wind Farm, and the soon to be completed French owned 8 turbine Craigengelt Wind Farm. We really have been taken over by the rest of Europe! Two more wind farms are planned nearby at Touchadam Muir, east of Earl`s Hill, and Muirpark near Loch Coulter.
