Opposing VAWTs is brilliant. One design that is out there uses the regular blades and then tesla turbines inside of that to catch more wind. Thanks
Ebalovo mozgov!
i got this magnet on ebay
i create electric generator for my science project out of magnets but it just light up to 3 LED 3 volts
what’s the song at 6:40?
I mixed it in Garage Band:-)
mondomouth (youtube member) must have got it from you then.
look for his channel and then look for a video called “unclog my drain”, then go toward the end (you might want to watch his video too)
btw, good timing
That spray paint is not very environmental friendly is it? Other than that, nice idea.
That looks super fun hehe
There are others out there, some i would rate better than the proven, there are 11 and 20 kW rated turbines that depending on your wind speed have a better power curve than the proven. i have seen some of these and they look a more solid a system, the 11kW at 5.5 and 6.5 m/s is about the best power curve i have ever seen, remember that 3 phase or split is a must. i think it is with the proven but not sure.

dont skewer yourself! lol =]
cool,,where do you get this type of magnets
looks awesome while it’s spinning, but when it stops, it looks like sh*t. No offense
Online, specialty stores, etc.
Brilliant!
What a waste of good paint
Nice.
Actualy, we all knew that, but thanks for putting it into the light…
Friction was an important issue at VAWT’s, now i can say VAWT’s are much better than horizontal axis.
Govt’s and big companies are installing only HorizontalAxis, huge and costly, hopefully the VAWT’s will bring [some] independence to the people. They are the only real hope.
Thanks for sharing.
Are these actually magnetic bearings or are they neodymium ring magnets? I cannot find actual permanent magnet bearings listed.
They are ring magnets with a 1/4″ hole. They are thicker.
GP…is there a video showing this (NEODYMIUM?) axis hooked up to an actual squirrel cage/turbine?
For noob DIYers like me, start to finish videos are like GOLD.
I’ve just started looking for DIY videos on alt power. (think backwoods joe with wind/solar ambitions
Sick!
nice work i love it
