Wind Power 4 All

I need to design a system to allow a person to continue winding a conveyor by hand in the case of an electricity power cut so need to know a power output to calculate the optimum gearing required. It would also be usefull to know what the optimum height for mounting the handle should be.

how will that effect our industry and retail business economy?
is being healthy and ecologically friendly a double edged sword?????
isnt our society and its economics based on us being polluting and unhealthy?
so why does this government spend millions trying to cure what it needs to survive why doesnt it encourage the taking of alcohol the smoking and the use of petrol , why not bring back cigarette and booze ads in full force why not print help the tax man and lightup on cigarette packets ? surely this will help kickstart the economy wont it ? doesnt it just show the bullshit world we all live in , even if you did achieve a sterile world of perfection we would all get bored and start over again we are in essence all addicts are we not?
i mean mcdonalds didnt get rich on anorexics right? so fatties keep people in work right down to the cardiologist , why doesnt the goverment just be honest it likes us to do these things because with booze and fags its lots of tax to be had then it kills us off nice and quick its ideal for them right?

I have an outbuilding that is a massive distance from the electric supply and will cost a few thousand to supply. I need to put in a light, PC, printer, and spare socket for charging (mobile etc). I want to know from the basics if it is possible, how to do it, and rough cost!
Thanks for the responses so far. If possible, could you suggest actual equipment needed so I can go and research? Printer is an all-in-one. PC is a standard base and forgot to say would need a further socket for the TFT. Would definately need 24 use (but not permanent), so would need battery backup.

It just got me thinking, if the wind out at sea is high, then windmills surely would be perfect to power ships? If they generate enough power….

The way the UK government talks it seems to think that there’s this great big lump of wind whizzing round the Earth all the time.

It didn’t seem to be like that when I was taught geography!

In fact thinking back to my days in Physics they taught me that energy could not be created or destroyed E=mc^2 and stuff like that!
So energy can not possibly be renewed if it can’t be destroyed.

Or maybe the Government has legislated so much that they have manged to change the basic Laws of Physics?
